Responsibilities

Dohrn is seeking a full‑time HR Supervisor to help lead our Human Resources department at our corporate office in Rock Island, IL. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and is confident managing sensitive employee relations matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee companywide investigations and ensure consistent, compliant handling of employee relations issues.
  • Manage attendance and discipline in alignment with Dohrn policies.
  • Support, mentor, and help lead a small HR team at the corporate office.
  • Partner with leadership to maintain a positive, productive workplace culture.
  • Ensure HR processes are organized, timely, and aligned with company standards.

What It Takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with UKG, Workforce Management (WFM) systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, professionalism, and attention to detail

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Driver License
• 2 year degree and 2 years’ experience in Business, HR or other related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent data entry and typing skills preferred
• Human Resources experience preferred
• Detail-oriented, analytical thinker, and problem-solver
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and react to change productively
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems
• Ability to work on tasks independently or in a team environment
• Excellent attendance

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Primarily sedentary work, which involves sitting most of the time
• May be occasionally required to exert up to 20 pounds of force and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
• The general office environment is favorable; Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are minimal hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc;
• Visual Acuity including regular use of items including a computer screen or monitor
• Manual dexterity is regularly required including fingering, grasping, and typing; manual dexterity includes repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers
• Talking and hearing required to communicate with and listen to others to share or receive information; May be occasionally exposed to noise including telephone, office machinery, and conversations of others

Pay Range

Starting from USD $58,011.46/Yr.
